yesterday morning when they arrived to work and found that a cash box had been forcibly removed from one of their tills.

The Police reported yesterday that someone entered Portofino's take-out shop on Bermudiana Road Thursday morning and removed the till.

The complainant said he was approached by a man at about 1 a.m. that day but sent him away before locking the shop for the night.

The theft was discovered later that morning when the shop reopened.

In a separate incident, Police reported that the theft of an amount of cash and a cheque from a closet in a Band Room Lane, Pembroke home between Tuesday and Thursday is also under investigation.
