Tatem proved virtually unstoppable as he first blasted Patti Miller 62-17 in singles action, before teaming with D.Codrington to defeat Colony's offering of P.Miller and Warren Harris.

Included in these games were breaks of 20 and 22, and for his efforts Tatem was named player-of-the-week.

Others earning victories for Sandys were Peter Bromby, who later joined Martin Siese in taking another doubles victory.

Meanwhile, Sandys Sports Club II were successful against Old Colony Club II, winning 4-2, with Zane DeSilva and Gary Skinner each posting singles victories. DeSilva and Skinner also won doubles matches while teamed with Alan Simons and T.Pedro respectively.
