PHC 4 Prospect 1

sweep aside the challenge of Prospect in the Second Division clash at the Southampton Oval yesterday.

Ashwood struck first for PHC in the 37th minute, but Prospect went in on level terms at the break thanks to an equaliser from Daniel Reece.

Ashwood turned the match PHC's way with his second after 63 minutes and five minutes later Swan made it 3-1.

Swan's second goal, a fierce 25-yard drive sealed PHC's victory with a touch of class.

PAGET 4 YMSC 3 SOC Paget 4 YMSC 3 Social Club gave a spirited performance but their best wasn't enough as they were edged out by a determined Paget outfit at Somerset on Saturday night.

It wasn't all good news for Paget though as they lost left back David Outerbridge in the second half when he apparently broke his arm after sliding into the back of the goal and colliding with a pole.

Paget opened the scoring in the sixth minute when Marlon Williams poked home from close range but Social Club equalised in the 25th minute with a scorcher from Tokia Russell.

Alfred Simmons lobbed home from 20 yards in the 40th minute to restore Paget's lead while Jermayne Pond added a third five minutes after the break. Raymond Burgess reduced the arrears three minutes later and then levelled in the 60th minute.

But 15 minutes from time, Pond struck his second, and the winner, for Paget.

SOC Som.Eagles 0 St.George's 3 Eagles were surprisingly devoured by a spirited St. George's team in at White Hill Field yesterday.

Entering the contest in third place and strong challengers for the lead, home side Eagles struggled throughout and never once looked like serious promotion challengers.

Marco Lovell put St George's ahead with a goal after 25 minutes and Delbert Minors made it 2-0 three minutes later.

The east enders put the game completely out of Eagles' reach after 53 minutes when Clifton Simmons netted to make it 3-0.

SOC St. David's 4 Ir. Rangers 1 Two goals apiece by Shea Simmons and Lionel Cann gave St.David's a comfortable victory at Lord's.

Second place St. David's had to fight to gain the edge in the first half but went in at the break with Simmons' first goal giving them a narrow advantage.

But after the interval they took full command, brushing aside their opponents as Simmons struck again prior to Cann's double.

Rangers' Mike Corday scored his side's consolation goal.
