Blazers sink Village with 3-goal blitz
Boulevard blew open this Junior Premier Division Knockout Cup semi-final when three goals in six minutes late in the second half put paid to the Red Devils at Wellington Oval.
Boulevard will now meet Southampton Rangers in the final on Wednesday at St.
David's at 12.30. Rangers beat Wolves 3-2 on Boxing Day at Somerset in the first semi-final.
Village had looked like they might be the team to reach the final when they took the lead in the 14th minute through Kaiwon Dill.
That lead stood until the sixth minute of the second half when Jamil Samuels equalised for Boulevard. For a half hour neither team could manage a second goal and extra-time looked a possibility.
But suddenly the floodgates opened up as Boulevard dashed Village's hopes with three quick goals. The first came in the 81st minute when Clinton Outerbridge scored from the penalty spot after being pulled back.
Four minutes later Aaron Williams made it 3-1 when a ball behind the Village defence put him clear and he calmly lobbed it over the advancing goalkeeper Don Vickers.
Dexter Samuels closed out the scoring soon after when a corner on the left was missed by Vickers and Samuels netted with a left foot shot from eight yards.
