The Paget East MP and former Cabinet Minister was flown off the Island by air ambulance at around midnight on Thursday.

Dr. Stubbs, who was accompanied by his wife, Robin, needed treatment which could not be provided locally.

It is understood the operation was related to a serious health problem.
