attend a prayer and peace vigil today at the Wesley Methodist Church on the eve of the first free and fair elections in South Africa.

A cross-section of clergy representing the Salvation Army, the Seventh Day Adventists and the Anglican churches will be among those present.

They will give short addresses at the church, which is located on Church Street.

The vigil will begin at noon and run until 1.30 p.m.
