The publication will focus on local companies, the Bermuda Stock Exchange and will also contain social and political commentary.

The first issue -- which went on newsstands on Friday -- examines Bermuda's rule limiting ownership in local companies to 40 percent. Mr. Brown is calling for an opening up of the economy to make Bermuda more competitive in the global economy.

Mr. Brown, who is also a politics and history lecturer, runs Research Innovations Ltd., a consultancy which provides investment, market and social research.
