Airport chief quits
after less than a year in the top post.
Mr. Minors had a successful career as Principal Highways Engineer before being appointed Manager for Maintenance and Engineering at the airport in 1995.
In his post at the airport, he was responsible for buildings and infrastructure including the runways, taxiways and navigational systems.
Mr. Minors took over earlier this year from Jack Gordon, who had been general manager since the Bermudian Government took over airport operations from the US military in 1995.
An understudy for Mr. Gordon was advertised for in September 1998, with the successful candidate receiving training until Mr. Gordon's contract ended earlier this year.
When contacted on Friday, Mr. Minors refused to comment, saying an official statement will be released this week.
