Four issues fell, four gained and two were unchanged with the index edging down to a record low.Argus, Bank of Bermuda, Bermuda Home preferred and Belco fell while Bermuda Commercial Bank, Bermuda Home, BSL and Telco gained.

Argus, Bank of Bermuda, Bermuda Home preferred and Belco fell while Bermuda Commercial Bank, Bermuda Home, BSL and Telco gained. Bank of Butterfield and TeleBermuda were unchanged.
Total volume was $1,068,193.75 The index closed down 3.93 points at 910.87.
