Legal eagles land for conference
Annual General Meeting at the Sonesta Beach Hotel starting this week Friday.
TerraLex is one of the largest global networks of independent law firms, with its members representing more than 110 jurisdictions, with 208 offices in over 76 countries.
The network's goal is to enable member firms to better serve their clients' international interests.
TerraLex offers a medium for enhancing the opportunities to work with colleagues in many other parts of the world and promotes a greater understanding among its members with their different legal systems, cultures and attitudes.
AS&K marketing director, Roberta Montafia, said the firm was proud and excited to be able to bring TerraLex to Bermuda for this conference.
She said, "We are particularly pleased that the Premier has graciously agreed to open the general session on Saturday morning.
"It appears that this will be the largest gathering of TerraLex delegates in the network's history. To date, the registered delegates include representatives from 44 countries, as well as 25 US states.
"We believe this is an important event for the firm and the Island as the gathering is an opportunity for the delegates to observe first hand one of the world's premier offshore jurisdictions.
"The Saturday afternoon sessions in particular will provide the membership with the chance to gain an understanding of offshore products and the benefits these products can provide to their clients.''
