weekend at the CARIFTA Games in Nassau, Bahamas.

Stephen Woodley got two of the medals, with Sharif Taylor accounting for the other one.

Woodley struck gold in the triple jump with a personal best of 46 feet 10 and three quarter inches -- a foot further than he had previously jumped. And he clinched silver in the long jump with another personal best of 22 feet, eight-and-a-half inches -- a massive 17 inches better than he had leapt before.

And, with the high jump competition yet to come, Woodley, who is competing in the Under 17 age group, has a further chance to add to his medal haul.

Taylor, Bermuda's other silver medallist, knocked a full five seconds off his personal best to finish second in the Under 17 800 metres final yesterday in a time of 2:00.2.

The other members of Bermuda's CARIFTA squad have also performed well -- Monique Hunt (200m) and Tony Bean (400m) finishing seventh in the finals of their respective events, while Atiba Tucker was unlucky to finish sixth in his 200 metre final, missing out on a bronze medal by less than a metre.

Marco Perinchief will line up in the Under 20 800 metres final this morning while Jarita Dill will race in the Under 17 400 metres final.

STEPHEN WOODLEY -- Gold and silver.

SHARIF TAYLOR -- Silver.
