Bank of Bermuda shares yo-yoed to close down 50 cents at $28.50. Argus Insurance also lost 50 cents to $17.00 and Belco fell 90 cents to $18.75.

Kentucky Fried Chicken stocks rose 50 cents to $4.50 and Long Botham Boats rose 25 cents to their 52 week high of $3.75.

Bermuda Press Holdings, owners of The Royal Gazette , and Island Press Holdings, owners of the Bermuda Sun, both saw their shares rise by 50 cents to $7.75 and $4.50 respectively.

The only other change in price was KeyTech, owners of BTC and Logic, whose price rose 10 cents to $29.10. The index closed down 18.398 points or 1.31 percent on a volume of 126,217 shares worth $2,206,215.25.
