Rangers still perfect

matches in the First Division, with Ireland Rangers the only team with a perfect record following yesterday's 2-0 win over Paget which left them tied for first place with a game in hand.

Michael Mendes and Duane DeRosa scored for Rangers in the second half to seal the points for the west enders. This is only Rangers' second season in the division, having previously played in the Commercial League.

Devonshire Cougars hold down top spot on goal difference after a 5-0 thrashing of previously unbeaten Social Club. It was their second straight victory after starting the campaign with a 3-1 loss away to Prospect.

Prospect were involved in the highest scoring match on the day -- but they were on the losing end of a 7-2 thrashing to Hamilton Parish.

Sean Dill led the scoring with four goals, netting in the 13th, 18th, 65th and 70th minutes while one each came from Ashton Outerbridge, Dalton Burgess and Corey Hill as Parish picked up their first win after two previous draws.

Parish, the top scorers in the division with 13 goals, also helped Prospect with an own goal by Shannon Bell in the 53rd minute while Stevie Lightbourne added the other in the 74th minute.

Somerset Eagles gained their first win with a 2-1 result over St. George's as Darren Dowling netted both goals in the second half.
