Education Minister Jerome Dill was taken to hospital on Saturday after he "felt ill'' while playing tennis with a friend.

According to his wife Jannell, Mr. Dill did not spend the night in the hospital, but returned yesterday for tests.

Labour, Home Affairs and Public Safety Minister Quinton Edness yesterday told The Royal Gazette that Mr. Dill was "resting comfortably''.

Mr. Edness said the Deputy Premier was in the hospital to undergo tests.

"He is feeling well,'' he added.

Last night, Mr. Dill was discharged from the hospital and returned to his home to recuperate.

"We would like to thank everyone for their calls of support and encouragement,'' Mrs. Dill said after bringing her husband home from the hospital.

She added that contrary to reports, her husband would not be flying overseas for treatment.
