on Independence.

"The people have already spoken unequivocally on the issue and I will not bring it up again,'' she said.

The handbill has a picture of her father -- Bermuda Industrial Union founder, Dr. E.F. Gordon -- against the words "workers' rights and adult suffrage''.

Below it is the question "Will SHE take the next step?'' and a picture of Ms Gordon beside the words "Peoples' Rights? Independence?'' The flyers were found last week on car windows in the Bull's Head car park.

Recently, Ms Gordon stated in an interview with BBC television's World Business Report that Independence was a dead issue.

She said she respected the result of the Independence referendum, in which Bermudians overwhelmingly voted against cutting ties with Britain.
