soon faces charges in Magistrates' Court.

The victims, a 41-year-old woman and her 38-year-old brother, were riding along Parson's Road, Pembroke at 7.15 p.m. on Thursday when the attack took place.

Police said the attackers -- a 23-year-old from Pembroke and an 18- and 26-year-old from Hamilton Parish, rode alongside the sister and brother and warned them that their front light was not working.

When the couple stopped the bike to investigate, they were attacked by the men who beat them with hammers.

The woman sustained a broken arm as a result of the attack. The three men were arrested.
