Ex-DPP called to the Bar

Kulandra Ratneser, whose grandfather was a High Court Judge in India, also served as director of the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement in South Australia and as a senior crown prosecutor in Western Australia.

Kulandra Ratneser, whose grandfather was a High Court Judge in India, also served as director of the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement in South Australia and as a senior crown prosecutor in Western Australia.

Mr. Ratneser was born in Sri Lanka in 1933 and began practising law as an advocate of the Supreme Court and barrister in the chambers of Sir Dingle Foot QC, in the UK.

He also served as legal officer, Crown Law Department Western Australia, director of the litigation division of the Australian Companies and Securities Commission and principal legal officer and regional general counsel to the regional office of the Australian Securities Commission.

Mr. Ratneser is taking a position with Milligan-Whyte and Smith as Senior Counsel.
