WEEKLY STOCKS UPDATE Five issues gained, two closed down and six unchanged last week on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

Kentucky Fried Chicken closed up $1 at $15 on volume of 157.BF&M preferred closed up 50 cents at $9.50 on volume of 3,506.

BF&M preferred closed up 50 cents at $9.50 on volume of 3,506.

Telco gained 37.5 cents to close at $37.375 on volume of 1,488.

Bank of Butterfield gained 25 cents to close at $10.75 on volume of 15,420.

Staples preferred closed up 12.5 cents at $9.375 on volume of 2,000.

Masters closed down $2 at $4 on volume of 1,054.

Bank of Bermuda closed down 25 cents at $18.25 on volume of 6,296.

Issues closing unchanged were; Bank of Bermuda warrants, $2.125, 224, Bermuda Commercial Bank, $4.875, 2,702, Bermuda Home, $9.125, 104, Argus, $10.50, 10,626, Bermuda Press Holdings, $8.50, 200 and Belco, $20, 2,000.

Share volume was 45,777 with a value of $560,198.02.

The index closed down 1.42 points or .14 percent to close at 997.74.
