But Mr. Jeffers -- registered in Pembroke East Central -- refused to say how he will cast his vote.
He said: "Listen, if I see a little fly on the wall before I place my X, I'm going to smash it.'' Mr. Jeffers said he felt it was important to "exercise my vote and my options.'' The seat, won in 1993 and defended by the PLP duo of David Allen and Stanley Morton, will feature UBP competition from Patricia Pamplin-Gordon and Wayne Scott.
Mr. Jeffers said: "I'm not happy about it but what can I say? It all depends on what I see is best for Bermuda.'' He added: "My wife and I have certainly had some interesting discussions.''
