The Bermuda Stock Exchange index closed the week at 983.73, down 3.082 points on moderate volume.

Eleven stocks and two bonds traded, with five advancing, four declining and two unchanged in value.

Total volume was 32,178 shares valued at $548,227.50, and bonds valued at $20,797.

Watlington Waterworks had the biggest gain of the week, rising 50 cents to $6.50 on a volume of 200 shares. Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. had the biggest loss, falling $1 to $8 on a volume of 1,000 shares.

Bank of Bermuda closed the week at $19.25, a rise of 1 on volume of 16,179 shares. Bermuda Bakery Ltd. rose 50 cents to $18 on volume of 314. Belco rose 1 to $201 on a volume of 7,585 shares. Bermuda Government bond issue rose $5 to $100 on a nominal value of $17,000.

Bank of Butterfield closed the week down 25 cents to $10 on a volume of 4,139.

Bermuda Home fell 3 to $73 on a volume of 1,112. Bermuda Telephone Co. bond issue fell $1 to $95 on a nominal value of $4,260.

Trading unchanged were Bermuda Commercial Bank at $4.25 on volume of 248, Bermuda Home preference shares at $10 5 on a volume of 501, Staples Holdings Ltd. preference shares at $7.75 on a volume of 500, and Bermuda Telephone Co.

at $27 on a volume of 400.
