BSX bouyed by relaxation of 60/40 rule

The buying frenzy after 60/40 ownership regulations relaxation continued during the week.
Overall, Bank of Bermuda shares rose nearly 1 percent or 0.50 cents at $52.50, Bank of Butterfield shareprice was down $1.50 or nearly 5 percent at $29.50 and Bermuda Commercial Bank, who received their exemption during the week, gained over 32 percent or $2.25 to close at $9.25.
Bermuda Press Holdings, the publishers of The Royal Gazette and The Mid-Ocean News , gained 17.65 percent or $1.50 during the week.
BELCO lost $1.00 or over 4 percent to close at $23.00 and KeyTech lost $1.75 or 4 percent to close at $40.75.
The index closed down 0.51 percent or 13.3 points at 2,594.26 on a volume of 260,712 shares worth $5,426,446.35.
