Champion of Champions races turned in sterling performances against the Island's elite riders.

But the local riders did give a spirited performance against the challenge offered by Canadians Zeb Dennis, Ryan Gauld and Nick Hill.

In the first 125B moto event Bermuda's Otis Ingham was out of the gate first with most of the Canadians trailing.

Ingham and Gauld took the lead and opened a small gap over Dennis, Nicholas Hassell and Treadwell Nesbitt and Ingham and Gauld traded turns in leading, until Ingham fell and dropped off the pace injured.

This enabled Gauld and Dennis to place one-two at the finish with Nesbitt following ahead of Craig Panchaud and Hassell.

Gauld came first in the other two motos ahead of Dennis and Nick Hill while the best a Bermudian could do was the performance of Panchaud whose hole shot in moto three where he briefly held the lead and held off a fast closing Dennis. Hassell finished with two seconds over Nesbitt who was hampered by faulty equipment.

The 125C class put in a good show with Mark Burrows, Craig Ferguson and Graham Sutherland and Ashley Simmons who was first overall with a bad first moto of fourth -- only to return with two wins.

Craig Ferguson was leading in points during the third moto when he came under pressure from Simmons and was bumped out of contention but still managed to finish fourth. Mark Burrows made third ahead of Graham Sutherland.

Aaron Cannonier won his first 80cc B race this year with a hat-trick but Loronzo Burch shadowed him for second.

Meanwhile in the 80cc C class Gary Blackwell put together a second and two first for first overall while Anthony Grant, Melonie Munro and Antoine Bean finished second, third and fourth respectively.

Zahkie McIntosh won his first overall race in his second racing season in the 65cc class, capturing two motos while losing the third to Jonte Smith who had a 1-2-3 finish. Chad Suderland and Jaircybio Ratterley were the other finishers.

The 50cc class went to Zahkie Iris and Kellen Lewis.

The BMC are hoping to put together a stronger 125B team for the New Year's Day double header after so many regulars opted out of the Boxing Day action.
