Five issues traded down while six traded unchanged but none closed up last week on the Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSE).

Telco dropped $3 to close at $35 on volume of 5,537.Bermuda Aviation Service lost 50 cents to close at $2.75 on volume of 525.

Bank of Bermuda lost 37.5 cents to close at $19.125 on volume of 569.

Bermuda Commercial Bank lost 12.5 cents to close at $10 on volume of 1,344.

Bermuda 9% Sub. US$ Cap. Nts. 2001 closed down 50 cents at 101.75 on volume of 63,000 units.

Issues closing unchanged were; Bank of Butterfield, $12, 19,260, Hemisphere Group Preferred, $6, 900, Bermuda Home, $7, 5,504, Bermuda Press Holdings, $8, 1,500, and BSL, $7, 625.

The BSE lost 16.09 points or 1.48 percent closing at 1,059.22.

Share volume for the week was 35,764 with a share value of $517,234 while bond value was $64,103. Total trading value was $581,336.
