Fisher, Paynter win silver medals
the Central American and Caribbean Senior Championships, which took place in Cali, Colombia, over the weekend.
Jennifer Fisher struck silver in the women's 800 metres, while Terry Lynn Paynter, after a two year layoff, came back to perform a similar feat in the javelin.
Fisher clocked two minutes, 9.12 seconds on Saturday, a day after Paynter had heaved the javelin 49.04 metres.
The next best performance came from Anna Eatherley in the half-marathon, her time of 1:21:39 good enough for fifth among the women.
Meanwhile men's competitors Kavin Smith and Tracy Wright were timed in 1:12:10 and 1:13:52 respectively -- their positions were unknown at press time.
There was no word on the plight of high jumper Stephen Woodley or 800 metres specialist Marco Perinchief.
