MPs set for short House sitting

The order of business for the House of Assembly contains a total of eight items -- a mix of new bills, draft regulations and a resolution allowing new political Attorney General Lois Browne Evans to pick up a $91,500 paycheque in addition to her basic House salary.

But the new business was only tabled last week. Because of the informal rule which gives MPs two weeks to look at new legislation, it will all be carried over to the following session.

It is understood MPs will only have to consider a land exchange deal before moving on to the motion to adjourn.
