His combatant may have been well arm-ed, but Mr. Davo Wilson won the tussle.

The angler caught this scuttle -- a member of the octopus family -- on the North Shore.

His catch with a hand line caused quite a stir on Wednesday.

The scuttle, a type of mollusc, is a common inhabitant of Bermuda's inshore waters, but not often caught.

"It is a very active predator, and can camouflage itself extremely well,'' a Bermuda Biological Station spokesman said.

"It is capable of taking on different shades.'' The spokesman said the scuttle made a tasty dish for the dinner table.

END OF THE LINE -- At least for this scuttle, pictured with his captor, fisherman Mr. Davo Wilson.
