slashing the arm of the mother of his one-year-old child.

Troy R. Harris, of Horseshoe Road, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to unlawfully wounding 20-year-old Desiree Virgil on November 21 in her Southampton apartment.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James said Virgil was in bed with the child around 7.30 p.m. that day when Harris entered the room and invited her to go to a football game.

She declined the offer which led to an argument between the two and Harris pulled out a knife and slashed her in the arm. She required ten stitches for the wound.

Yesterday, Harris told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis: "I should have walked away from the argument and I shouldn't have had the knife.''
