Wolves aiming for big finish
virtually assured, Wolves will attempt to improve on their fourth place position in the Premier Division tonight when they take on sixth-placed Devonshire Colts at Devonshire Rec.
Wolves still have a slim mathematical chance of lifting the title, but for that to happen leaders PHC, North Village and Dandy Town would all have to falter in their remaining two games.
Still, coach Dennis Brown is anxious that his side record their highest finish in the table since returning to the top flight three seasons ago.
Colts have some incentive going into the game since they hold down sixth spot and could be challenged by Somerset Trojans if they slip up.
Colts have 23 points from 16 matches and the Trojans 22 points from 16 games.
Tonight's is the only Premier Division game this weekend that doesn't feature teams with a realistic shot at the title or who are involved in the fight against relegation. But both will still want to finish the season in style.
Colts played to a scoreless draw against PHC in their last match while Wolves were held 2-2 by Boulevard.
Tonight's opening fixture is a match-up between women's teams Rude Girls and Wolves, starting at 7.00 p.m.
