Practice walk Practice makes perfect.
want to keep in mind if they want to enjoy a blissful (and hopefully blister free) hike.
The second in a series of practice walks for the Bermuda End-to-End 2000 will be held this weekend in Paget.
Sunday's practice walk will start at 10 a.m. at the Bermuda College campus and will feature several water stops along the route.
In addition to giving participants a chance to `warm up' for the May 6 charity event, the eight-mile walk will provide an opportunity for walkers to collect pledge forms.
Those who cannot take part in this weekend's practice walk need not worry -- organisers said that there will be two more next month. The final two practice walks will take place on April 8 and April 30.
This year's End-to-End charity walk will benefit the Physical Abuse Centre, The Teen Haven, TB Cancer and Health, St. George's Rest Home and the Hands of Love Ministry.
For more information on the annual walk call the End-to-End hot line at 299-8885.
SPRING BREAK PARTY ENT Spring Break party The concert promoters who brought the Soca Fest and reggae superstar Beenie Man to Bermuda, will this weekend host a two-night Spring Break extravaganza.
Phaze One Entertainment, in conjunction with Outlaw Productions, will host `Interactive Gone Wild' tonight and tomorrow at Pier 6 on Front Street.
Tonight's party will feature Apache and Big Red, from Atlanta Georgia, in addition to local DJ's the Play Boy Outlaw Movement.
Tomorrow, top American DJ Cocoa Chanelle will impress locals with the skills that have helped make her one of the best DJ's in New York City.
"Each show is different,''said organiser Jason Flemming. "Phaze One believes a party is just a party, but it's the creativity that makes it an extravaganza.'' BOOST FOR MOVIE IN FILM FESTIVAL MPC Boost for movie in Film Festival One of the feature films set to be screened at this year's Bermuda International Film Festival has been picked up by the Hollywood film giant Miramax.
Human Traffic, directed by Justin Kerrigan, will be released this year in the US by Miramax. Miramax released last year's winner of the Academy Award for best picture, Shakespeare in Love.
The film is described by festival organisers as a hilarious look at the UK's `Generation Y' and its pill popping culture.
Festival director Aideen Ratteray Pryce said Human Traffic will be screened on April 16 at the Little Theatre and April 20 at the Liberty Theatre.
Individual tickets and festival passes can be purchased from the Visitors Service Bureau box office as of April 3.
