The closing date for acquisition of the new building on Dundonald Street is pending, and the company intends to have the various divisions moved in early in the new year.

Chairman Donald Lines and president Susan Wilson were both travelling this week and unavailable for comment.

BCS has had its head office, as well as BCS Agencies Ltd. and their telecommunications operations on Victoria Street for a number of years.

Meanwhile, their retail outlet, The Computer Centre, has been in the Dallas Building, and the basement of Craig Appin House has been used for additional warehousing space.

The company said this week in a prepared statement that with the acquisition of its own building, it was hoped that all facilities and services of the company will be brought to one location, to better serve customers and achieve efficiencies.

BCS sells, and provides services for, IBM computers, peripheral equipment and software. The company also provides education and training services to users of the equipment.

BCS trades on the Bermuda Stock Exchange and was last active September 29, when its stock traded for $12.50.

The company reported a significant improvement in profit for the six months to June 30 of more than $286,000 -- a $100,000 improvement.

The company declared sales for the whole of last year at $2.1 million, although growing competition and pressure on margins was experienced by The Computer Centre.

Ms Wilson said earlier this year that up to the end of July, there had been a significant increase in sales and earnings as a result of confirmed orders for equipment and deliveries in July.

Total assets of the group at June 30 amounted to $3,387,454.
