Air arrivals drop again

For the week ending May 14, air arrivals plunged 16.5 percent to 8,966, compared to 10,743 in the same week a year ago.

The one bright spot continued to be cruise ship arrivals, which are running 1.2 percent ahead of last year's figures for the year, with 21,288 arriving so far this year compared to 21,045 in 1994.

Last week, seven cruise ships brought 7,314 passengers to the Island, a 23 percent or 1,370 person difference from a year earlier.
