Bermudian named to top civil service post
Hall-Bean to director of Personnel Services.
Mrs. Hall-Bean, who is a 30-year career civil servant, takes over the top civil service position on July 1 from Mr. Malcolm Gregory who is leaving the Island.
She has enjoyed a long career in Government, having joined the service in June, 1965 as a clerk/typist in the Cabinet Office.
Mrs. Hall-Bean joined the Department of Personnel Services 17 years ago, serving during that time as assistant personnel officer, personnel officer, and senior personnel officer.
During her 30 years in Government, she has acquired extensive knowledge and understanding of Government procedures and policies, a statement said. She has served as secretary to the Public Service Commission, the Public Service Superannuation Board and the Joint Grading Panel.
As Director of Personnel Services, Mrs. Hall-Bean will head a team of personnel professionals who provide personel advice and technical support to all Government departments.
