In-form Frost leads OCC title charge
challenge with a 7-4 triumph over Bank of Butterfield in latest action. As a result of the win they increased their lead to four points over The Centre.
Nick Frost was in devastating form as he routed The Centre's top player Corey Berkeley 21-10, 21-11, gaining revenge for a previous loss. Frost then thumped Hasan Durham 21-7, 21-10 before scoring a comprehensive 21-16, 21-12 victory over Roderick Masters. With the match tied 3-3, Neil Slater caused a major upset by edging Berkeley 24-22, 23-21. And OCC won the next two games to clinch the match.
OCC have completed their schedule, finishing with a 14-2 record for 28 points.
The Centre have 24 but still have make-up matches against BPSA and Prison Officers, which they must win in order to pip OCC.
Prison Officers defeated BPSA 7-4 with Barry Rahman winning three games, Calvin Butterfield two and veteran Sammy Wilson one. Rawle Frederick won two for BPSA and his son Dapo one.
Eastern Stars clinched the Second Division title with a crushing 9-2 victory over OCC II.
