The Island golfer yesterday followed up his first round score of 70 with a 77 and to hold down 28th place. Bermuda's Robert Spurling had a second-round score of 78 to go with his opening score of 75 and lies one stroke above the cut.

Quinton Sherlock and Andrew Trott struggled in the windy conditions and bowed out with high scores of 85 and 83, respectively. Aaron James of Bermuda was 25th in the boy's 12-and-under group after a second-round 55.
