Island has to offer those back home.

The visit comes less than two months before Lufthansa subsidiary Condor Airlines begins its weekly non-stop flight from Frankfurt to Bermuda on May 2.

The group, which will be accompanied by Tourism Department public relations manager Mr. Charles Webbe, includes journalists from Frankfurt's largest national daily gossip newspaper, the Bild, to the conservative national dailies, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Suddeutsche Zeitung.

Freelance journalists from several special-interest German magazines and the largest German travel trade publication -- FVW International -- will also be here.

The itinerary for the three-day visit includes lunch at Cambridge Beaches, dinner at Fourways Inn in Paget with the Tourism Minister, and a codfish brunch at Mr. Webbe's home.

The journalists will also tour several hotel properties and places of interest across the Island.

They are scheduled to leave Bermuda on Tuesday.
