highlights of the next Bermuda Insurance Institute (BII) luncheon, according to a release from that organisation.

"How much business did Bermuda's catastrophe companies pick up in the 1994 year-end reinsurance renewal season ... and was it enough to satisfy their critics and shareholders?'' will be among questions addressed.

Guest speaker will be Mr. John Dowling, president and Chief Executive Officer of International Property Catastrophe Reinsurance Company Ltd.

Mr. Dowling, whose extensive career in insurance includes holding the position of executive director of Eagle Star Holdings and managing director of Eagle Star Reinsurance Company Ltd in London, as well as top management positions at several other UK firms, is also expected to talk about the Bermuda market's competitors.

He will also review factors he considers likely to influence the next year-end season, according to the BII release.

The luncheon, slated Thursday, February 23, starts at 12:15 p.m., and will be at the Hamilton Princess.
