PLP names new executive bar
after its election of officers at the annual Delegates' Conference on Wednesday night.
There were no surprises in the upper echelons of the PLP's leadership, with Mr. Frederick Wade re-elected as party leader, and Mr. Walter Roberts retaining his post as deputy leader.
Mr. Milton Scott, the former secretary-general, did not seek re-election. He was replaced by Warwick West candidate Mr. George Scott.
The new party organiser is Mr. David Augustus Jr., who replaces Dr. Pauulu Kamarakafego (Dr. Roosevelt Brown). Dr. Kamarakafego also did not seek re-election.
The posts of treasurer, assistant treasurer, membership and assistant membership remain unchanged. They are filled respectively by: Ms Marie Franklin, Mrs. D. Aurelia Burch, Mrs. Brennell Henry and Mrs. Leonie Richards.
Another new face on the executive team is Ms Paula Cox, who was voted public relations officer.
