Spectacular have qualified for the finals in the handicap division.

A total of 69 bowlers will battle it out for cash prizes and round trip airline tickets in the finals at Warwick Lanes next Tuesday.

The majority have fully qualified for the finals in the scratch division.

Bowlers who failed to qualify will be able to take part in a separate event, the non-qualifiers tournament, in which cash prizes will be awarded on a smaller scale.

After their outstanding performances during the qualifying rounds, bowlers such as Steven Riley, Conrad Lister, Dean Lightbourn and Michael Lambe are favoured to come out tops in the scratch division.

The handicap division isn't as predictable as the handicap allowance for the weaker bowlers puts all competitors on an equal footing.

At the conclusion of the tournament, a total of $10,000 will be paid out in prizes together with two airline tickets.

A prize-giving banquet is planned for Sunday, August 31.
