Pianist serves a musical feast
win a place at the famous Juilliard School of Music, is still working to ensure that other young people are given the same opportunity.
Heading the Juilliard Committee, she has organised a concert, The Second Annual Musicale, which will take place at St. Paul's Centennial Hall this coming Sunday, February 15.
Although she is now in her 90's, Mrs. Bentley will be the featured pianist, with Lloyd Matthew, organist, Gale Butler, violinist, Rochelle Simons, vocalist, and the Baha'i Singers.
Mrs. Bentley, who left here at the age of 17 to take up her studies at Juilliard, has spent most of her working life in New York and London, where she performed and taught music.
Tickets for Sunday's concert are $15 (patrons), $10 general admission and $5 for children under the age of 14. All proceeds will go to the Juilliard Committee towards a music scholarship. Tickets are available at the door.
