Man denies attack on woman
young girl over a two-year period of time and of beating- up an adult woman.
The 35-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged at Magistrates' Court with sexually assaulting the girl between June 29 and 21 September 1999 in Sandys.
He is accused on the same dates of touching part of her body with his for a sexual purpose while in a position of trust.
Between August 1 and August 31, 2000 in Sandys, he is accused of sexually assaulting the girl.
In Pembroke between October 1, 2000 and November 30, he is charged with touching her for a sexual purpose while in a position of trust.
He is accused of the same charge in Warwick between November 1 and November 31, and in Sandys between February 7 and 8 this year.
The matters can only be tried at Supreme Court, so the defendant was not required to enter a plea.
He did plead not guilty to committing grevious bodily harm against a woman in Sandys on February 10 this year.
Acting senior magistrate Edward King adjourned the matter until June 7 and released the man on bail of $2,000, with two like sureties of $1,000.
