Colts hoping `same again'
over Wolves within five days at Devonshire Rec. tonight.
On Sunday at White Hill Field, Colts rallied to a plea from skipper Shannon Burgess to raise their game as they scored a 2-0 defeat to knock Wolves out of the FA Cup.
Now Burgess hopes his side can maintain that form for tonight's First Divison clash (kick-off 9.00 p.m.).
"We need to make better use of our chances. We need to put what's happened in the past and move forward. A lot of things need to be worked out for us to get better,'' said Burgess last week.
Those words were seemingly heeded going into Sunday's game as Colts responded with a positive performance.
Points are vital for both teams as they are not only attempting to stay in the top half of the division and avoid the relegation zone, but trying to remain in contention for a spot in the Dudley Eve tournament over Christmas.
Colts currently hold down fifth place with 11 points from seven games while Wolves, who have also played seven games, are one point behind.
Wolves were competitive on Sunday before succumbing to goals in the second half from Aljame Zuill and substitute Melchisadec Gibbons.
A worry for coach Dennis Brown will be the chances missed by strikers Elllington Weldon and Nathan Webb.
Tonight's encounter should again be close with Colts holding a slight edge.
