BF&M, which has been adversely affected by the wind-up of former parent Bermuda Fire & Marine, closed at $7 on volume of 700. But its 9% preference shares lost 50 cents to close at $9 on volume of 6000.
The Exchange closed up 1.73 points to 1163.62.
The only other gainer on the Exchange was BDR Co., up 50 cents to close at $30 on volume of 150.
Going down were Bank of Bermuda 9% preference shares, which slipped 50 cents to $107 on volume of 850 units.
Trading unchanged were: Bank of Bermuda, $20.50, 2740 shares; and Telco, $38.50, 1060.
