business development unit, announcing yesterday that Steve Schleisman has accepted a new position as executive vice president.

Mr. Schleisman has been executive vice president and president of healthcare services corporation, MMI Insurance Group, a $400-million company specialising in risk management and consulting for healthcare providers. Mr. Schleisman will be working with ACE vice chairman Don Kramer and Leslie Goodman, who are spearheading the business development unit.

He will be reporting directly to ACE chairman, president and CEO Brian Duperreault, who noted, "Steve will be helping us to continue our development as a world class insurance and reinsurance entity by actively pursuing acquisition and other new business opportunities. "His extensive experience in multi-national and specialised niche markets, as well as his proven leadership of large and diverse operations will be of great benefit as we continue to implement our strategy of growth through acquisition or development.''
