Insurers ready for major forum
in Bermuda to share ideas and information at the third annual International Life and Annuities Forum later this month.
The three day convention will convene at the Fairmont Southampton Princess on June 26.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Steven H. Hanke will deliver a talk on The World's Changing Currency Geography with emphasis on how this impacts international investing.
Dr. Hanke is Professor of applied economics at Johns Hopkins University, a contributing editor at Forbes Global magazine and a columnist at Forbes magazine.
The convention will also feature an interactive brainstorming breakfast and several interactive roundtable breakout sessions. The breakout sessions will cover areas of product development and marketing and legal and tax concerns.
Organisers have put together a pre-conference workshop which will focus on implementing complex offshore insurance strategies. The session will begin with basic planning principles and move to an open discussion of planning issues in a case study approach.
Panel discussions will feature at the three day conference and will seek to delve into challenging topics like regulatory issues in Latin America and estate planning with life insurance for UK and European residents.
