National Trust fund-raisers target youth
at young people.
To increase awareness of their activities, the Trust is organising a host of presentations and visits in a bid to attract new members, both young and old.
There will be talks at Rotary and Lions' clubs, and visits to middle and secondary schools.
Trust director Amanda Outerbridge said: "The Trust has a strong and loyal membership base, and we want to expand upon it to include more young people and those who have not been members before.'' Representatives of the Trust will be telling the public about their historic buildings, cemeteries, museums and 250 acres of open space.
"If it belongs to the National Trust, it belongs to Bermuda. Being a member is a great way to express your love for Bermuda.'' Education officer, Dr. Nicola O'Leary, will be visiting schools and talking to youngsters about the Trust's buildings.
She said: "Bermuda has many mysteries and strange tales that I hope will appeal to our youngsters and stimulate their interest in the Trust's work.'' CLUB CLB ENVIRONMENT ENV
