Rosser ready to retire -- Senior VP of Sinser Management Services to quit after 21 years
Well-known Bermudian businessman, Robert Rosser, has taken early retirement from the company he has been with for 21 years.
Mr. Rosser has left his post as senior vice president of Sinser Management Services, which was previously Skandia International Risk Management.
He was the global captive manager's longest serving employee and represented his company and Bermuda many times at RIMS.
He joined Hudson Underwriting Ltd. in 1980, which then became Skandia. He was also Skandia's Underwriting Manager for the Bermuda Risk Exchange Association from 1984 to 1994.
In recent years he has been responsible for the marketing and promotion of Sinser's captive management services and placing client reinsurance in local and overseas markets.
During his career, Mr. Rosser served on numerous industry-related committees including 12 years on the Bermuda Insurance Advisory Marketing Committee. He also served on the International Business Tourism Joint Steering committee and was vice chairman and chairman respectively, of the Bermuda Insurance Institute Committee on Education and the Bermuda Independent Underwriters' Association.
He is also jointly responsible for organising the first two Bermuda Insurance Symposia and the last ten World Captive Forums. Mr. Rosser said he was looking forward to his retirement and pursuing his various interests.
