Michael Wayne Brown, 31, is serving a ten-year prison term for possessing cocaine intended for supply.

When arrested on Middle Town Lane in Pembroke in October, 1991, Brown was carrying an aluminium foil bundle containing $6,000, and $1,510 in his pockets.

Police said they saw Brown drop close to 80 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $15,400, which they found nearby.

Brown's 14 year sentence was reduced on appeal.

Yesterday, Puisne Judge the Hon. Mr. Justice Ground approved an order under the Misuse of Drugs Act that forces Brown to forfeit the money.

Crown Counsel Ms Sharon Kenny, said the money would be added to Government's Consolidated Fund.

Brown was represented by Mr. Philip Perinchief.
