Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. saw its share price soar by almost 40 percent ($3.50) to close at $12.50 on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 4,600 shares, the exact same number as Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. - warrants, while Butterfield Bank also saw 2,100 shares change hands.

The Index, as a whole, was up 26.9 points (0.53 percent) at 5,113.48, with 11,300 shares worth $105,330 traded.

The BSX Insurance Index also rose by 1.02 percent to 1,089.89.
