SCA to announce results on Thursday

Bermuda bond insurer Security Capital Assurance Ltd. yesterday announced the Company will release its 2007 fourth quarter and full-year results after the close of regular stock market hours this Thursday.

The company announced last week that it expected to take a charge of $1.5 billion for the fourth quarter on sub-prime mortgage related obligations.

And SCA also said last week it had hired Goldman Sachs and Rothschild Inc. to help map out options for the company's future.

Paul Giordano, president and chief executive officer, David Shea, executive vice-president and chief financial officer, and Edward Hubbard, executive vice-president and president of SCA's subsidiary XL Capital Assurance Inc., will host an earnings conference call to discuss SCA's fourth quarter and full-year 2007 results on Friday morning at 9.30 am Bermuda time.

The conference call will include prepared remarks by the SCA management team and a listen-only question and answer format.
