The Island's media was quite literally lost in space when Government called off its Emerging Satellite Industry press conference at the last minute yesterday.

The conference, which had initially been scheduled for mid-afternoon was pushed back an hour before finally being cancelled as reporters arrived at the Cabinet Office on Front Street, only to be turned away disappointed.

Bermuda has been fighting to keep its satellite slot against the likes of other jurisdictions such as the Isle of Man and it was expected Government was going to make an announcement about what was happening with the programming times.
